During our trip to Pennsylvania last week, one of the day trips that we took was to an amusement park. It wasn't just any old amusement park though. This park is made especially for small children. It is Idlewild Park. They have a huge kiddie section and most of the other rides are kid friendly too. We decided to make it a family day and went with my cousin and his family. His kids are roughly 6, 4, and 2 years old. We also took my 9 year old cousin and my mom and aunt went too. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast riding the rides together. They kept switching partners and had so much fun. They even got to see a Thomas show together. I took lots of pictures, of course, and I even got to ride some rides. Alexander even went on his first roller coaster, which he didn't like, but we tried. I realized that it has been about 5 years since I have been on rides at an amusement park. It made me feel a little bit old, but I love seeing the amazement on Alexander's face every time he rides something.
All of the cousins holding hands. So Cute!
We see something that we want to ride.
Let's go!
Waiting to drive the cars
Best buddies!
Coming to a stop
Now I'll ride with someone else.
What are all of my big cousins doing?
I want to ride too!
Flying the airplane
Riding the dinosaur
Watching Thomas
We love our family and look forward to spending time with them every summer. Hopefully we can continue to get our kids together because it really means a lot to them and they really enjoy each other's company.
